Paying a professional translator means you receive fluent, grammatically sound and context-appropriate text. This standard is not currently achieved by machine translators.
Translation memory tools
A translation memory tool is a type of CAT [computer-assisted translation] tool. It is used chiefly in document translation to streamline the process of translating texts with repeating elements. The translation memory programme does not translate on behalf of the human translator but rather saves the choices they’ve made and suggests them again for similar sections. If a client can provide me with an existing, comprehensive translation memory, I may be able to finish the work more quickly and reduce the overall fee.
Post-editing
Post-editing means editing the output of a machine translator (an AI) in order to make the text more fluent, grammatical, and idiomatic. I do not provide post-editing services.
